Personal pronouns play an important role in the modern Chinese grammar system. However, the current research on personal pronouns mainly focuses on the ontology, the study of teaching Chinese as a second language is still insufficient, especially the research on nationalization. Therefore, this paper mainly explores how native English-speakers acquire Chinese personal pronouns.Based on previous studies,we mainly analyze relevant corpus in ctHSK dynamic composition corpus" and classifies errors.Combined with interviews with teachers and native English-speakers,we explore the reasons for the errors. On this basis,we propose some suggestions on the acquisition of Chinese personal pronouns by native English-speakers.This paper adopts corpus analysis method to analyze correlative corpus. We find that the types of errors in the acquisition of Chinese personal pronouns by native English speakers can be referred to Lu Jianji's(1994)classification:omission,mis-addition,mis-generation and mis-order,and we mainly analyze corpus from the perspective of grammar and pragmatics.Afterwards, combined with the analysis of corpus and interviews,we find that the reasons for the pronouns of English native speakers to learn Chinese personal pronouns are mainly as follows:internal reasons, negative transfer of learners' mother language, negative transfer of second language and improper acquisition strategies;external causes, that is,the practice of personal pronouns, interpretation of personal pronouns, and usage introduction of personal pronouns in the textbooks need to be improved, and the cultural connotation introduction, error correction, and classroom question and answer methods of the teacher need to be improved. At last, this paper puts forward suggestions from the perspectives of native English learners, textbooks and teachers.
