Based on the "Brochure of School of Mechanical Engineering of Shenyang Jianzhu University",this report analyzes the methods and strategies of how to translate Non-Subject Sentence under the guidance of Skopos theory.There are many Non-Subject Sentence in this translation practice.The author of this report gradually found the methods and manners of solving the translation problems in the translation process.Under the guidance and application of Vermeer's Skopos theory,the author think about the translation of Non-Subject Sentence in scientific and technical texts,especially in the brochures of science and engineering colleges and universities.Combined with the translation skills and strategies which are used in this report,it can effectively improve the quality and speed of translation.Through the understanding and analysis of the translation text,the difficult and important points in the translated text can be found,and the combination of effective translation theories can help solve these problems one by one.In this way,the strategies and techniques that are generally applicable to the translation of Non-Subject Sentence in the scientific texts can be found.Through the process of discovering problems,interpreting and analyzing,combining theory and summarizing methods,the Skopos theory is thoroughly applied to the translation of scientific and technical texts,so as to solve the practical problems encountered in translation.By summarizing the problems encountered in the translation process and the corresponding translation strategies,the author finds that the translation methods of Chinese Non-Subject Sentence can be devided into three aspects.First,adding the subject,including Add a logical subject and demonstrative pronoun it as the subject;sentence conversion,including The usage of "there be" sentence and active-passive conversion;logical relationship conversion,including primary and secondary relationship conversion,Overall partial relationship conversion and parallel relationship conversion.Through this translation practice and report writing,the author hope to grasp the basic strategies and techniques of sentences with no subject in college introduction brochures,and also provide some ideas and inspirations for others.
