The Impact Of European Demand On Chinese Lacquerword Production In The Qing Dynasty

Long before the Western European people opened up the new route,the lacquerwork,possessing the characteristic of the East,had been introduced into the West as the arts and crafts and carried out the trade between China and Europe.From17 th to 18 th century,a large number of European businessmen and missionaries came to China,which promoted the sales of lacquerwork to Europe.This paper mainly discusses the flourishing conditions of Chinese and European lacquer trade and the different needs of European lacquerwork in China,the characteristics of export lacquerwork,and the influence of lacquerwork trade between China and Europe on lacquer production in the Qing Dynasty.This article is divided into three parts to clarify the point of view.The first part discusses the general introduction of lacquerwwork in the Qing Dynasty and the trade of lacquerwwork in Europe.Starting from thecondition of lacquerwork production,discuss the production and market condition of lacquer work in the Qing Dynasty.The trade circumstances were rather complicated during the Qing Dynasty,and many related trade policies were set up,including trade policy,business policy and handicraft policy.From the aspects mentioned above,the paper lays a solid foundation for understanding the Chinese lacquer trade in the Qing Dynasty.Through the analysis of the trade between China and Europe,the structure of commodity and carrier,this paper will analyze the prerequisite of the trade formation.From the developed shipping,the trend of global trade,the paper will explore the perfection of Sino-EU business routes,and clearly outline the panorama of Sino-EU lacquer trade.The second part explores several specific aspects of European demand for lacquerwork in China.According to the practicality,oriental culture,social aristocracy and public aesthetic needs of the European demand,this paper discusses the impact of Chinese lacquerwork on European culture,analyze the formation of the objective needs for the trade.The third part discusses the influence of the different needs of Chinese and European for lacquerwork,under the impact of European culture on the lacquerwork production in the Qing Dynasty.The export of lacquerwork is not only Europeans' mania for Chinese culture,but also has an impact on the production of Chinese lacquerwork,especially the profound impact on Chinese traditional lacquer category,type,pictorial and technology.Therefore,this part mainly analyzes China lacquer design changes under the influence of European demand in the Qing Dynasty,and it is also the focus of this paper.
