With the the progress of globalization,exchanges between different people have become more frequent,and the intercultural communication comes into being.The advancement of social technologies and information technologies makes it possible to do intercultural communication through Internet.Intercultural language teaching and learning put forward by UNESCO is a new thought of education,which has become educational trend today.This report is based on the translation of Intercultural Language Teaching and Learning(Chapter 7 and Chapter 8).In the process of translation practice,the author uses Skopos as the guiding theory which emphasizes the reader-centered ideas,and being faithful to author style and original text.The translation report explores the difficulties in the translation process,and proposes solutions to the problems.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the translation methods used in this translation practice include semantic extension,word formation,four-word pattern,passive conversion,reference.This report is composed of four chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction of this report,including the text introduction and text features;chapter 2 gives an introduction to the translation procedures;chapter 3 reviews the Skopos theory and a case study in the light ofSkopos theory from three perspectives,the skopos rule,the coherence rule and the fidelity rule.The fourth part is a summary of this translation project,which explains the overall guiding position of Skopos theory,and summarizes the author's experience and reflection.The author hopes that this report will provide a reference for translation students,professional translators,and people who are interested in intercultural language teaching and learning fields.
