Based on the analysis of the existing research results of Frog, this paper makes a rhetorical analysis of Frog by focusing on the three groups of rhetorical elements: the title symbol "frog","character name" and "Female's martyrdom",and the unique narrative structure of the three styles of Frog. The first chapter is the introduction, which firstly analyses the current research situation of Frog from six aspects, then clarifies the significance of the research, writing ideas and innovations. The second chapter analyses the rhetoric element title symbol "frog",looks for its rhetoric prototype and three rhetoric presuppositions in the text, and studies its function of activating the textual construction of the polysemy of the whole text theme. The third chapter interprets the rhetorical elements of character names, demonstrates that most of the characters are named by human words, and explores the mirror relationship between rhetorical elements of character names and personality,as well as the textual construction functions of metaphorical characters' fate, interpersonal relationship and occupation. The fourth chapter refines and analyses the rhetorical element "Female's martyrdom",combs its explicit rhetoric function of expressing the "female sufferers" and marking the narrative rhythm of the text, digs out the "existence code" of its implicit internal thinking, and explores the fate of women's birth which is contrary to the status of the reproductive subject. The fifth chapter analyses the narrative structure of the text, which has three unique styles.Three groups of rhetorical elements and the rhetorical strategies of the coexistence of the three styles correspond to each other, forming the narrative structure of the text, which is composed of micro-and macro-three-dimensional.The concluding part gives a brief summary of the full text, and points out the shortcomings of this paper.
