This paper first discusses the subject in Lévi-Strauss 'structural rationality,that is,the study of human essence and human nature,which is the core of his structuralism.Influenced by Rousseau,his structuralism has a romantic core,so his understanding of people is an idealized one.He thinks that the subject is not only different from Sartre's subject but also from Bakhtin's interactive subject.He believes that the self and the subject are not identical,that the other is a possibility of the self,that the self is the other of the other,and cannot be directly recognized,but can only be viewed from the other.Similarly,on the aesthetic level,the ego is not the aesthetic subject,but the other as the other in the aesthetic,that is,the superego,which is the uniqueness of his aesthetic thought.According to Lévi-Strauss,the reason for the similarities between cultures far apart in time and space lies in the transcendental existence of the concept of the other in human thinking,which is the universal psychological structure of human beings.It is this unconscious structure that constitutes human culture and is inherent in all human cultures.He grasps this structure through the study of the primitive culture as the other,so as to explore the basis of being human.Lévi-Strauss believes that beauty is a structure of double negation.In his study of art,the coordination mechanism of split and half representation in primitive art and the opposition and reconciliation mechanism in mythological structure are moving from negation of negation to affirmation.The former can achieve the coordination between the self and the other,while the latter can achieve the dynamic balance of binary opposition.The enlightenment of Lévi-Strauss' aesthetics of otherness to the current era of globalization is as follows: first,only by transcending the narrowness of anthropocentrism can the harmonious unity of culture and nature be achieved.Only by reconciling modernity with the past can we solve the problem of modernity.Only by upholding the concept of "harmony without uniformity" can the clash of civilizations be resolved.This paper argues that Lévi-Strauss' s other aesthetics and ecological aesthetics are intrinsically related,so his aesthetic thought should have a place in the field of ecological aesthetics.This is the final destination of this topic research.
