Correlation Analysis Of Adolescent Self-esteem And Mental Health

Objective: to study the relationship between self-esteem and sc-90 psychological symptom factors in adolescents with mental and psychological problems,and to provide references for the clinical diagnosis,treatment and intervention of adolescents with mental and psychological problems.Methods: 202 adolescent patients who visited the mental health center were assessed by self-esteem scale,scl-90,depression self-rating scale,etc.The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS22.0.Results: the evaluation results of adolescent patients with different genders and ages were significantly different.The scores of female patients in SDS,SCL-90 total score,somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,fear,sleep,diet and other psychological symptom factors were significantly higher than those of male patients(P<0.05,P<0.01),while the self-esteem level of male patients was significantly higher.The scores of the 14-to 18-year-olds in the total score of SCL-90,interpersonal sensitivity,hostility and paranoia were significantly higher than those in the19-to 25-year-olds(P<0.05).The total score of scl-90 and each factor score of patients with different self-esteem levels were significantlydifferent(P<0.001),and self-esteem was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of scl-90 and each factor.Gender,age,self-esteem level,parents' marital status and number of negative sexual life events are risk factors of psychological problems in adolescents.Conclusion: self-esteem has an important impact on adolescents' mental health,especially on factors such as depression,interpersonal sensitivity,psychosis,sleep and diet,and overall mental health.The low self-esteem of adolescents needs urgent psychological intervention.
