The Application Of Graphic Patterns Of Ridgehog In Visual Design

Based on the traditional pattern of China,this paper mainly studies the application of ridge swallowing animal pattern in visual design.The largest extant ridge-swallowing animal at both ends of the main ridge of the Palace Museum Taihe Hall in China was taken as the research object.The swallowing ridge animal on the Taihe Hall was rebuilt during the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty,which has a very high historical value.The ridge-swallowing beast is the decorative component of the ancient architecture,the god beast guarding the roof of the building,the crystallization of the ancient people's labor and wisdom,with a strong religious myth color.From the course of development,we can know its background and customs.In terms of practical functions,it occupies the most important position of the roof and plays a role of stabilizing the side.In terms of cultural function,as a mascot for the ancients to seek good fortune and ward off evil spirits,it can be used to trust the ancients' beliefs and maintain people's stable life.This article starts with the analysis of the development process,shape structure and cultural connotation of the pattern of swallowing ridge animal,and excavates the implication behind the pattern.Ancient people extracted graphics from life experience not only have beauty but also have practicability.How to apply traditional graphic patterns in visual design needs systematic research and innovative design.At present,our country attaches great importance to the innovation and development of traditional culture,which is reflected in all aspects of life,food,housing and transportation.People earnestly call it "Chinese style".A good tradition is not necessarily suitable for the needs of modern society.If we want to carry forward the tradition,we must study the activation of tradition.Combining ancient art with modern life,we can study a culture suitable for the development of modern society.
