In order to clearly understand the characteristics of the sentence pattern "S wei(?)O" in modern Chinese inscriptions, this paper,on the basis of previous studies, examines and compares the sentence pattern "S wei(?)O" in the title and text from the perspective of syntax, semantics and pragmatics, and compares the sentence pattern "S shi(?)O" in the text with the sentence pattern "S wei(?)O" in the text. The full text is divided into six parts. The first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the origin and purpose of the topic, the relevant explanations of this paper and the current research situation.Chapter two makes a syntactic analysis of the sentence pattern "S wei(?)O" in the text, including the constituent materials of "S" and "O" and the modifier elements of "wei(?)".In terms of semantics,we think that "S wei(?)O" sentence pattern can express equivalence, attribution, explanation, comparison and variation. Then we examines the expressions of "S","wei(?)" and "O" in the sentence pattern and the news content applicable to the sentence pattern.Chapter three analyses the sentence pattern of "S wei(?)O" in the title. In addition to the analysis of the constituent materials of subject and object, the syntactic analysis also analyses four categories of " Swei(?)O" sentences. In terms of semantics,we focus on comparative meaning and as meaning, which appear less in the text.In the fourth chapter,we compare the sentences of "Swei(?)O" in the title, and find that there are two main differences in syntax. One is that the subject chooses different quantities(nouns)phrases, numerals and more colorful phrases in classical Chinese. The other is that the object position chooses different monosyllabic nouns and adjectives. In addition, there are differences in ellipsis between them.Preposition "yi(?)" and auxiliary "de(?)" are often omitted in headings.Pragmatic differences are mainly manifested in the fact that the title depends more on context than on the text, and there are also differences in expression. The fifth chapter is the comparison of the sentence pattern " S wei(?)O" and "S shi(?)O".We find that the choice of pronouns, time nouns and monosyllabic words is different between the subjects of the two sentence patterns. The difference of object is the acceptance of numeral phrases and monosyllabic words.Semantic differences lie in the different meanings of "shi(?)" and "wei(?)",and the different types of sentence meanings. In addition, the subjectivity of " S wei(?)O " sentence is weaker. In terms of pragmatics,we find that "S shi(?)O" sentence pattern is suitable for spoken language, and "S wei(?)O" sentence pattern is suitable for written language, and mainly expresses the declarative mood.Chapter six concludes with a summary of the main conclusions, innovations and shortcomings of this paper.
