Since Romain Rolland's Declaration of spiritual independence was introduced to China in 1919,his works have been in China for a hundred years.This paper holds that he has a impact on the Chinese left-wing literature in the 1930 s.Although the left-wing writers didn't contact with him directly,some of them had read his works and talked about the influence.Based on some facts,this paper takes “communication research” as the breakthrough point,sorts out the process of his introduction into China,and expresses its specific influence.The article will be discussed from three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction mainly includes the course of China's acceptance of Romain Rolland,introduces the research ideas,status and the significance of this paper.The body of the thesis is divided into three chapters,which are as follows:The first chapter analyzes the translation and research of Romain Rolland in the history of the modern Chinese literature,and explores the historical origins of them.In my opinion,many Left-wing writers have been influenced by Romain Rolland from different sources.In the 1930 s,with the rise of the proletarian revolutionary movement and the progress of Chinese translation,the Chinese literary circles began to noticed Romain Rolland,intending to throw an olive branch to him.However,few scholars in the academic world have talked this influence.The second chapter discusses the influence of Romain Rolland's spirits to the Chinese left-wing literary in 1930 s.The author believes that Romain Rolland's works have shown a strong spirit of humanitarianism,fighting and pursuing peace.In the 1930 s,the left-wing literati also talked about these spirits in their works and “sinicized” it.This paper uses it as a starting point to discuss the influence of Romain Rolland's spiritual on the Chinese left-wing literature in 1930 s.Meanwhile,contemporary non-left-wing literati who influenced by Romain Rolland.Through comparison,we can explore the uniqueness of the left-wing literati in the1930 s.The third chapter elaborates the influence of creation.During this period,Romain Rolland began to turn to the direction of the world proletariat.The Chinese left-wing literati in the 1930 s began to pay attention to the literature pursuits such as “rooted in the soil of the people” and “heroism”expressed in his works.In addition,his various literary forms such as “The Long River Novel”,“People's Dramas” were also popular among the Chinese left-wing literati in the 1930 s.However,there are some differences.This paper intends to explore the breakthrough and development of the left-wing literary creation in the1930 s through the comparison of the two.The conclusion part summarizes Romain Rolland's influence on theleft-wing literature in 1930 s,points out the evolution of Romain Rolland's influence on the spirit of modern Chinese literature,and concludes the inheritance and breakthrough of the left-wing literature to Romain Rolland in 1930 s.Generally,this article believes that Romain Rolland has influenced the Chinese left-wing literature in the 1930 s,and he promoted the development of the modern Chinese literature.This research is helpful for us to understand the left-wing literature in the 1930 s.
