A Practice Report On The Simulated Consecutive Interpreting Of CCTV Documentary Nostalgia

Interpretation,as a bridge of communication,has made great contributions to the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.Whether at the national level or in all walks of life,nowadays we have more and more opportunities and ways to communicate and cooperate with foreigners,and to show our unique cultural heritage.Shandong,for example,is well known for its outstanding people.It not only has a profound cultural tradition,but also plays an important role in this age.In the rural areas of Shandong Province in particular,people are simple,honest and righteous,which constitute the special spirit and resilience of the Chinese people.By introducing Mamuchi and Dajinkou,two rural areas with Shandong characteristics in Nostalgia,we can see that this spirit has been inherited from generation to generation,and for thousands of years.The hard work of ordinary farmers for the pursuit of a happy life in China will certainly be able to infect the audience of different cultures and achieve the goal of cultural exchanges.The report is divided into four parts,namely,the overview of interpretation content,the interpretation process,the analysis of interpretation cases and the summary of postinterpretation practice.According to the Functionalist Skopos Theory,especially under the guidance of principles of Purpose,Faithfulness and Coherence,together with the preparations for interpreting,the task is basically completed.After finishing it,I found that although Skopos gives interpreters greater freedom,we need to coordinate the three principles to make a high-quality translation,and at the same time solid translation ability and skills are also important.In the process of interpreting,due to the ability of interpreter,even though I have made any preparations,some sentences of the translated text are inappropriate,which fail to express many connotations of the hometown by language.It also encourages interpreter to continue to explore by practice,constantly improve my bilingual competence,improve my interpreting attainment,learn from outstanding interpreters and excellent translations to make progress.
