Youth subculture is a group culture generated from the bottom up.With the development of Internet technology,its construction and exhibition space gradually shifts to the network media,which is presenting and shaping its unique network media image.As one of the derivative series of the phenomena-level network variety “U Can U Bibi”,“The First Season of Who Can Who Up”was chosen to be born in the time when the year just passed and the taste of the year was still there,disseminating the youth subculture in the network media image.This network variety show intensively extracts and presents the popular elements of the contemporary youth group.The form and the spiritual core of the program fully reflect the characteristics of the youth subculture.This study draws on the cultural research path of the Birmingham School basing Social mechanism of mass culture consumption,and uses The First Season of Who Can Who Up as a typical research text of youth subculture.It uses text analysis and literature data to explore the essence of the “style”,“identity”,“resistance”,and “incorporation” behind the youth subculture in the network media image.In addition,there are some innovations in research perspectives,research materials and research views.The paper took the study of the “style” of youth subculture as the entry point,basing on the cultural ecology of our country,and analysed six style meanings of youth subcultures in the text of The First Season of Who Can Who Up,such as parody subculture,fans subculture,Diors subculture and so on,so that to explore the status and uniqueness of the youth subculture in the context of online media.Then,the paper further explore the characteristics of style communication in the network media image,which is entertaining communication motive,performing communication methods and self-specialization of communication content.The “style” communication aims to struct “group identity”.The youth subculture draws support from the ritual communication of the network media image of The First Season of Who Can Who Up to construct and expand its group identity,which reflects the principles of group identity--consistency and uniqueness,self-respect and self-efficacy,and consumption convergence.Behind the “style” communication and “group identity” is the game of “resistance” and “incorporation” of the youth subculture.The borderline between “resistance” and “incorporation” of the youth subculture in the image of The First Season of Who Can Who Up are not clear.Instead,they permeate each other.The "resistance" presents a trend of "degeneration",and there is also a more subtle incorporated method of “the mirror discipline” for the youth subculture is collected.The study found that the network media promote the “style” of the youth subculture “run” to the public.The “style” is the business card for the youth subculture to establish “group identity”,and the establishment of “group identity” relies on the creation of “style” of the youth subculture.The youth subculture has been changing the ways of "resistance" to the main culture.The "incorporation" may be the destiny that the young subculture cannot escape but can be optimistic,and the "resistance" and "receipt" of the youth subculture can be symbiotic coexist together.
