The Study On Structure “X+YU+VP” And Its Compositions In Chinese

Based on previous studies,the dissertation researches the modern Chinese structure “X+YU+VP”.The essay makes a comprehensive description and analysis of “X” and “VP”,and also explains the mechanism of the dropping of “YU”.According to the integration,syntax and pragmatics,the paper studies the overall function of this structure,which is expected to improve the research of “YU” and other relevant structures.This thesis is comprised of six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part.This part mianly introduces the significance of this thesis and summarizes the researches of former scholars and relevant studies,then determines the research ideas and research methods on this basis.The second chapter is the investigation of “X” in the structure “X+YU+VP”.Through the corpus analysis,this part makes a detailed description and explanation of “X” from the aspects of syllable,structure and semantics.This part paves the way for the rest of the thesis.The third chapter is the investigation of “VP” in the structure “X+YU+VP”.This chapter discusses the constituent of “VP”,the sematic relationship of “VP” and the semantic point of “VP”.By comparing with the structure “X+YU+NP”,the last part elaborates the nominalization tendencies of “VP”.The fourth chapter is the investigation of the structure “X+YU+VP”.This chapter is the focus of the thesis.Through the conceptual blending theory and clause integration theory,this part analyses the integration of the structure “X+YU+VP”,and discusses its syntactic and pragmatic function.The fifth chapter is the investigation of “YU” in the structure “X+YU+VP”.This part discusses the situation and reason of dropping of “YU”,and its influence on structure “X+YU+VP”.The sixth chapter is the conclusion part.This part summarizes the main content in this thesis,and point out the shortcomings for the subsequent study.
