In this information era,business cultural exchanges are increasing day by day.As an important means of corporate culture exchange and reference,business literature plays an increasingly important role.How to accurately translate business literature into Chinese for Chinese people to read and learn so as to promote the development of Chinese enterprises has become an important task to be solved in the translation field.Translation of business literature should not only pay attention to its accuracy,but also conform to the reading habits of the broad target readers.This report is based on the translation practice of Chapter 1 to 6 of The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups by Daniel Coyle.The book mainly talks about three skills for helping companies or organizations to build successful business culture.Therefore,the whole book is divided into three parts and chapter 1 to6 belongs to the first part,which explores how companies or organizations build safety in their culture.The whole translation project includes two parts: the translation of Chapter 1 to 6of The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups and the writing of translation report.The translation process includes three steps: pre-translation preparations,translation and post-translation management.In the translation report,the translator summarizes the difficulties that she encounters at the lexical,the syntactic and the textual levels,and then discusses the translation methods that she adopts.At the lexical level,the translator explores the proper translation methods of organization names and psychological terms.At the syntactic level,the translator explores proper translation methods of long and complex sentences.At the textual level,the translator explores proper translation methods of implicit cohesive ties.In the end,the report draws a conclusion on the translation project and mentions its limitations,which deepens the translator's understanding of translation theories and skills.
