A Comparative Study Of Zhou Fang's And Tang Yin's Paintings Of Ladies From The Perspective Of Feminism

Since the slavery society in China,men have always occupied the central dominant position in society.Women in the patriarchal society are more dependent and catering to the status of existence,and the reflection in the field of art is the same.As an artistic product in feudal society,on the premise of affirming its aesthetic value,we can also see that women in women's paintings have been acting as the object of "gaze" and "desire" by men in the art of painting,and exist as the role of being appreciated.Zhou Fang and Tang Yin are the representative painters of ladies' paintings in Tang and Ming Dynasties respectively.This paper takes feminism as the breakthrough point,and studies the ladies' paintings of Zhou Fang and Tang Yin from the perspective of gender consciousness.On the one hand,it analyses the formation and evolution of ladies' paintings under the ideology of male chauvinism in feudal society,and takes Zhou Fang and Tang Yin as the main objects of comparative study.On the other hand,it also reflects the living state of ancient Chinese women in the male-dominated society with Confucianism as the core for a long time.On the basis of explaining how women's images are constructed in Zhou Fang's and Tang Yin's paintings of ladies,this paper first analysesthe differences and common aesthetic pursuit of the two paintings in shaping women's images.This proves that although the aesthetic standards of female images in Zhou Fang's and Tang Yin's paintings differ from each other due to different historical stages,they are essentially the products of male aesthetic influence in feudal society.Then through the concrete analysis of the female consciousness in Zhou Fang's and Tang Yin's paintings of ladies,this paper explores the reasons behind the formation and evolution of the female consciousness in the works.From this,it derives the thinking of the whole genre of women's paintings and the related thinking of women's theme paintings after the feudal society.
