Zhang Yuzhao Calligraphy Research

Zhang yuzhao was one of the important figures in the late qing dynasty,and he made a lot of meaningful explorations on tablet calligraphy.His early study running-penmanship melts former people,and later attended fame learning pavilion pavilion,middle age comes at a time when big of epigraphy,Ruan Yuan,Bao shichen provided theoretical guidance for the stone inscription rubbings,hence affected joined the north tablet calligraphy creation,into the stone inscription rubbings elements in running script,use opportunely promising.it to express different inscriptions through wind and rain Bei Mian stone Huan diffuse feeling,a lifetime commitment to tablet calligraphy of exploration.This paper studies the characteristics of Zhang yuzhao's calligraphy,the causes and the process of his calligraphy style,and USES his experience for reference,so as to better guide us to study calligraphy from copying to creation.This paper is divided into three parts:First,Zhang yuzhao's life and academic,friendship and scholarly thought.We try to divide his calligraphy works into stages.Second,the author analyzed Zhang yuzhao's calligraphy style in the late qing dynasty,and discussed the characteristics of his regular script and cursive script in terms of brushwork,conformation and rules.Try to compare it with the contemporary zhao zhiqian.Thirdly,the author summarizes the mixed comments of Zhang yuzhao's calligraphy and makes an in-depth discussion to better guide his calligraphy creation.
