The Chinese political, economic and cultural status gradually improved, that makes the China status in the world is gradually increased, and also makes the relationship between China and other countries increasing. In terms of cultural transmission, is also showing a rising trend, which also requires us to study in the area of intercultural communication more in-depth and specific, in order to promote understanding between nations, strengthen the cooperation between nations.Chinese dragon culture is one of the representatives of China traditional culture, is the essence of China fusion and five thousand years of history. in the dissemination of Chinese culture to the world, the dragon culture is an important component. China and Japan are neighbor, Japan and China to have many similar cultural traditions, the Japanese dragon culture has a long history and important cultural status. This paper focuses on the comparison between China dragon culture and Japanese dragon culture, find out the similarities and differences, and found out the problems and contradictions in cross-cultural communication because these differences. Under such conditions, with intercultural communication as the theoretical basis, carry out some simple analysis.This paper is divided into four parts, the first chapter is the introduction, mainly discusses the research status on the topic origin and the dragon culture. The second chapter is an overview of the basic situation about dragon,mainly from the three aspects of the Dragon stage, image and connotation of the simple comparison and analysis. The third chapter discusses the comparison between Chinese and Japanese dragon culture, mainly from three aspects of language, religion and art.
