The Mutual Proof Of "Shuowen" Prose And Characters On Chu Bamboo Slips

The main body of ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” is the characters of the Warring States,therefore,it has important reference value when interpreting the characters of the Warring States and studying for “Shuo Wen”.In addition,the ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” also preserves some figures of the characters of the Warring States which have not been seen in the unearthed ancient materials.It plays an extremely important role in the overall study of the characters of the Warring States.It is a pity that many figures of much ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” have changed with the course of copying so far.The primary problem to make full use of ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” is to study and correct the mistakes it made during the course of copying.In recent years,a large number of materials for ancient prose,especially materials for ancient prose in Warring States,have been unearthed one after another,which creates unprecedented conditions for the further study of ancient prose of “Shuo Wen”.The new research results on ancient prose of “Shuo Wen” grow with time.This article aims to sum up the achievements of the predecessors and use the newly unearthed Chu Bamboo Slips to further study the ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” as far as possible,analyse the origion for ancient prose of “Shuo Wen” and correct the mistakes for ancient prose of “Shuo Wen”.At the same time,this article will further interpret and verify ancient prose of Chu Bamboo Slips using ancient prose of “Shuo Wen”.The article is divided into three parts.The first chapter is an introduction,which summarizes the relevant literature,clarifies the reason and significance of the topic,and research methods in detail.In the second chapter,the article compares and analyzes the ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” and Chu Bamboo Slips.Firstly,it illustrates the source,quantity and nature for ancient prose of “Shuo Wen”.Secondly,it introduces the situation of unearthed materials and research status of Chu Bamboo Slips.Finally,it uses three sections to explain the importance of unearthed literature for the promotion of studying ancient prose in “Shuo Wen”.The third chapter uses the enumeration method to explain and illustrate one by one for the 170 ancient prose which can be clearly explained in “Shuo Wen” on the basis of the existing unearthed Chu Bamboo Slips.In the process of interpretation,In addition to Chu Bamboo Slips,the oracle bones and ancient books are also used to further verify them.Through research,we have further discovered some errors in the interpretation the features and meaning of ancient prose in “Shuo Wen”,which provided more reliable research materials for other and subsequently unearthed ancient materials.At the same time,in the process of interpreting ancient prose in “Shuo Wen” using Chu Bamboo Slips,we also found some problems existing in interpretation ancient prose in Chu Bamboo Slips,which plays an extremely important role in the study of ancient prose.
