In recent years, the intellectual property system has played a vital role in the rise of the great nations.Meanwhile, intellectual property issues have always been the focus of negotiations between the two sides in all previous Sino-US trade frictions. Therefore, researching the reform of the international protection system for intellectual property rights and better resolving the intellectual property disputes between China and the United States will play an inportant role in achieving China's transformation. This interpreting task is conducted on the basis of a legal lecture at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law on July 2,2018.In this lecture,Professor Wu Handong, from ZUEL,discusses various intellectual property issues from a perspective view including the current international development of intellectual property rights, the US strategies and China's strategies for trade war. This report takes Gile's Efforts Model as the theoretical guidance for problem solving and syntactic linearity as the guiding principle in the process of Chinese-English SI interpreting practice, analyzing the coping tactics throughout the interpreting practice, such as flexibility, fuzzy interpreting, paraphrasing and simplification.
