Corpus-based Study On �V Shang N� Construction

Based on BCC corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University and the CCL corpus of Peking University,reference the Construction Theory and the view about verb's autonomy,this paper divides into five chapters to study the�V SHANG N�structure?�VSHANG N�construction and the V?SHANG?N of this structure.Through the research,we find that the V in�VSHANG N�structure has three different kinds:Action Verb?Psychological Verb and Causative Verb.If the verb is a volitional verb,after entering the�V SHANG N�,its'autonomy maybe changed.It can be a volitional verb?non-volitional verb or both.While if the verb is a non-volitional verb,after entering the�V SHANG N�structure,its'autonomy will not change.In addition,according to their meanings,the N in�V SHANG N�can be divided into three categories:people and things?time and location.What's more,according to object type,the N can be divided into six categories:guest object?local object?result object?target object?passive object and quantity object.By comparing�V SHANG N�and�VN�,we find that the combination of�V SHANG�precedes the combination of�SHANG N�.The�SHANG�has four different types:�SHANG_V1�?�SHANG_V2�?�SHANG_tendency�and�SHANG_result�.�SHANG_V1�is a real meaning verb with some increasing meaning,�SHANG_V2�is an action verb and a tendency verb,�SHANG_tendency�is a directional complete and�SHANG_result�is a result complement.The�V SHANG N�construction has these meanings:[+complete]?[+stable]?[+result]?[+terminal]and[+start]etc.In addition,the V?SHANG and N are mutual restraint.The teaching of�V?N�structure can be carried out from the meaning of[+result]and the combination between V?SHANG and N.It can also be carried out from the point of comparison of the different combinations of�V SHANG N�structure and the different between�V SHANG N�and�VN�.
