It is evident that the rapid development of the Internet has a profound impact on the reading form of traditional literature.In recent 10 years,many adult readers are attracted by children's literature on the Internet.It is under this background that this report discusses the translation strategies of children's literature in the new environment through the translation practice of Hyperbole and a Half.In general,Hyperbole and a Half belongs to children's literature,but it also has the characteristics of online comic fiction because it was published first on the Internet with illustrations.The popularity of the book on the Internet indicates that the readers of children's literature may include both children and adult at the same time.The source text(referred to ST)is selected from Hyperbole and a Half,which was written by American writer Allie Brosh in 2013.Hyperbole and a Half is a children's book with illustrations that record the daily life of the author from childhood to adolescence.With simple pictures and child language,Brosh interprets trivial things of life,which is full of annoyance and happiness.Based on the practice of translating Hyperbole and a Half,this report discusses how to balance the reading needs of two groups of readers by comparing the self-translated version with the version translated by “Fall-ark”(Chinese translator).With Bakhtin's dialogism,this report analyzes the different effects of different translation from the perspectives of readability,didactic feature and language style,based on dialogue between the translator and the ST,and dialogue between the translator and the reader.In the practice of translation,it is found that some children's works are becoming more and more attractive to adult readers,especially those works for teenagers.A common need has evolved between teenager and adult readers: teenagers need a maturity with humor and adults need a relaxed and straightforward sense of humor.The common need of the two groups has been greatly developed in the environment of shared cyberwords,so it can be used in the translation of Hyperbole and a Half.Under the background of Internet culture,readability and didactic characteristics ofChildren's literature for teenager readers has differed from the traditional requirement,and humorous language expressions have been further developed.
