Conjunction words in the Chinese language are numerous,however out of the many kinds,cause and effect conjunction words are frequently and complicatedly used.According to the definition,the cause and effect conjunction words are able to link words,phrases,minor sentences and paragraphs to display a causal relationship.With the increasing communication between Thailand and China in politics,economics,culture and so on,many Thai people come to China to study Chinese and their inthusiasm of learning Chinese has grown vigorously.Therefore,the focus of the thesis is Thai international students from Chongqing University with medium to high level Chinese.The thesis collects data from interviews,questionnaires and material from the HSK dynamic composition corpus and through the application of error analysis theory,hoping to put forward corresponding measures and enhance abilities through better understanding of Thai international students' current usage situation of cause and effect conjunction words.The research shows that there are five error types when Thai international students apply cause and effect conjunction words,namely logic error,addition,misuse,misordering and omission.Moreover,the thesis makes a concrete analysis of each error type and summarizes the causes of these errors,the relationship between the mother language and target language,the influence of study strategies and environments,as well as the complexity of effect conjunction words.According to the error types,error causes and the results of interviews,the thesis offers suggestions from the aspects of teachers,textbooks and students.
