With the rapid development of information and communication technologies,communication networks and instant messaging devices have become an important part of many people's daily life.The practical research on the application of communication networks and mobile devices for mobile learning has gradually attracted the attention of scholars.Mobile learning breaks the boundaries of learning,simplifies the learning requirements of students,provides opportunities for students to study anytime and anywhere,and provides a new way for college English learning.In addition,Chinese College English Curriculum Requirements(2007 edition)clearly states that learning strategy is listed as one of the main teaching contents of the English curriculum,emphasizing the important position of the learning strategy.Therefore,to explore the current status of college students' English mobile learning strategies supported by WeChat subscription is of great significance to improve the efficiency of college English mobile learning and enrich the form of college English teaching.The objective of this research is to explore the current status of college students' English mobile learning strategies supported by WeChat subscription.This paper analyzes the use of college English mobile learning strategies from various angles,and proposes feasible suggestions for the problems existing in them,in order to improve the use efficiency of college English mobile learning strategies and enrich the form of college English teaching.Firstly,the literature method is used to review the related research of mobile learning,and to expound the related concepts and the theoretical basis of mobile learning.Secondly,386 students of non-English majors are taken as the research object.Those students include freshmens,sophomores,juniors of a university in Chongqing.Then,using the method of questionnaire and interview to analyze the current status of college students' English mobile learning strategies(cognitive strategies,meta-cognitive strategies,communication strategies,resources strategies)supported by WeChat subscription,and analyze the differences in gender,grade,and major.The research finds that the research subjects have the following problems in the three aspects of learner,learning environment and learning process:(1)the aspect of learner: lack of awareness of English learning strategies,and low utilization rate of English learning strategies;lack of interaction consciousness and ability;(2)the aspect of learning environment: difficult to select the English mobile learning resources;susceptibility to be interferenced in a mobile learning environment;(3)the aspect of learning process: lack of timely feedback;low level of interaction.Therefore,based on the above problems,the following teaching suggestions are put forwarded: to strengthen mobile learning strategies training guidance;to consciously develop students' awareness of cooperation and communication;to strengthen the construction and guidance of English mobile learning resources;to improve students' mobile learning internal drive;to build a secondary platform to enhance teacher feedback.
