Research On The Application Of Chinese Character Font Design Based On The Graphic Features Of Dongba Script

Chinese characters are one of the oldest characters in the world and an important symbol of Chinese national culture.Under the background of strengthening national confidence and inheriting excellent Chinese traditional culture,the design discipline also pays more attention to the value and significance of national vocabulary and local culture in design research and application.In the research field of font design,diversified and national visual expression is also becoming the focus of design.Therefore,based on the design thinking and the status of yunnan is rich in national culture resources provided the favorable conditions,this article selects known as graphical text origin and development of human society,a "living fossil" of the yunnan naxi dongba text and Chinese characters as the research object,the purpose is to through the comparative study of the graphics features,explore the application of the graphical features of national characters to the modern design method in the design of the font,in order to develop the innovation of the Chinese character font design application form,and try to provide an idea for the diversification of modern design vocabulary.This paper mainly elaborates from the following six chapters: chapter one elaborates the research background and current situation,content and significance,route and method of the subject.The second chapter is an overview of dongba characters and Chinese characters,and focuses on the possibility of introducing narrative thinking into the font design of Chinese characters.In the third chapter,dongba characters and modern Chinese characters are compared,and the differences between them in modeling structure and configuration method are elaborated.On this basis,the significance of dongba characters' graphic characteristics in modern font design is summarized.The fourth chapter makes a comparative analysis of dongba characters and ancient Chinese characters,including many aspects,such as font characteristics,rules of character formation,artistic features and aesthetic forms,focusing on the similarities and differences between dongba characters and ancient Chinese characters in terms of graphic features.The fifth chapter analyzes the excellent cases of font design at home and abroad and summarizes the application principles and forms of dongba characters in modern design.The sixth chapter,the application of dongba characters in font design,focuses on the design ideas and methods.
