With the promotion of Chinese in the world,Chinese has become one of the most valuable languages in the world.More and more people are learning Chinese as a second language.Under the influence of new research field of applied linguistics--Heritage Language and Heritage Language Education,in this paper the autnor investigates the current situation and problems of Heritage Language Education in ethnic Chinese families of Yunnan province,communities and schools in Angkhang Village,northern Thailand,and summarizes the experience from the investigation of Angkhang Heritage Language Education.On one hand,it promotes the maintenance of Heritage Language and the intergenerational transmission of Chinese culture.On the other hand,it provides a new perspective for the international promotion of Chinese,regards the local Chinese Heritage Language Education as the national language resources,reserves talents for Chinese teaching in Thailand,and promotes the spread of Chinese in Thailand.At first,the author briefly introduces the reasons,research ideas and research methods,summarizes the related research on Heritage Language and Heritage Language Education at home and abroad,briefly expounds the significance and purpose of this topic selection,and explains the related theories in educational anthropology of Heritage Language and Heritage Language Education respectively.Then,the compositeon of Ankang's community,the cultural background of its members,the form of inheritance of the local Chinese ancestor culture,community school education,income sources of residents and employment structure are described in depth,in order to prepare for the analysis of the status quo below.Under the background of educational anthropology,the author chooses Angkhang LiDe Middle School in Yunnan Village of northern Thailand as the place of investigation.Firstly,the author investigates the language use of Angkhang Heritage Language learners in family,community and school field by means of questionnaire survey.Then,enter classrooms,communities and local residents' homesas "interventionists" and "outsiders" to collect information,and combine Heritage Language and Heritage Language research theory and educational anthropology idea and method,elaborate and analyze the local Heritage Language preservation situation and the phenomenon of low academic achievement in schools from a brand--new filed.Finally provide some thoughts on Angkhang's Heritage Language Education,such as strengthening communication between families and schools,setting up local courses,compiling native Chinese textbooks with northern Thailand characteristics,developing from two dimensions--community bilingual education and cultivating local teachers,so as to bring some thoughts on the preservation of local Heritage Language and the intergenerational transmission of culture,train diverse talents for the country and to promote the horizontal transmission of Chinese in Thailand.
