A Report On The Simulated Simultaneous Interpretation For “2017GMS Cross-border E-commerce Cooperation Platform Dialogue”

This report is a simulated interpretation practice report.The interpretation materials are the leaders' speeches and business representatives' keynote speeches at“2017 GMS Cross-border E-Commerce Cooperation Platform Dialogue”.The author successfully completed a 90-minute simulated simultaneous interpretation practice with the presence of her supervisor and classmates.After the practice,the author modestly recorded the comments and feedback made by her supervisor and classmates,transcribed the recording of the target language into text,and compared them with the source text.The author systematically analyzed the mistakes and problems in the simulated interpretation practice,and proposed corresponding solutions and strategies.Summarizing and reflecting on the simulated interpretation,the author has achieved corresponding enlightenment,and hopes to provide some guidance and references for other interpreters and interpreting researchers,especially for those who focus on e-commerce interpretation.This report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the source speeches and their interpretation;the second chapter is the description of the interpreting task,in which the author introduces the source of the interpreting materials,the background of the conference and the requirements for the interpreters;the third chapter describes the interpreting process,including pre-interpreting preparation,interpreting implementation and post-interpreting issues.The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter are the key parts of this practice report.In the fourth chapter,the author briefly introduces the Interpretive Theory and analyzes several failures and successful cases based on the Interpretive Theory,putting forward some strategies for solvingthe problems,such as explanatory interpretation,conversion,simplification,amplification and reformation.In the fifth chapter,the author summarizes the unsolved problems and the enlightenment and puts forward some suggestions for future studies and interpretation.
