A Report On The Translation Of The Subtitles Of Through Our Eyes On Neteasesight

Nowadays,with the growth of international exchange,film and television works have become an important means of cultural communication.Subtitle translation attracts more and more attention from translation researchers.Besides,the development of computer technology promotes its application in film and television production.Subtitle translation is a special field of translation because it demands not only translation but also pre-processing and post-production.Consequently,only in consideration of characteristics of film and television language and with assistance of computer technology,can subtitle production be completed accurately and efficiently.In contrast to the large amount of research on subtitle translation,little research has been focused on subtitle production on network platforms.This report is written based on the subtitle production of Through Our Eyes: Living with Asperger's on NeteaseSight,presenting a detailed analysis of translation methods and techniques adopted in the post-editing phase.It aims to promote the development of efficient subtitle production by summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of NeteaseSight and expects to provide some enlightenment for the research on subtitle production on network platforms.
