| In recent years,the study of intertextuality has attracted more and more attention in critical linguistics.as a non-literary public discourse,news discourse has become an important research object of critical discourse analysis.As an important linguistic phenomenon in verbal communication,restated speech is one of the most prominent features of news discourse,which exists in a large number of news discourses.It is also a typical representative of "significant intertextuality".Therefore,based on Faircroft's critical discourse analysis and the theory of intertextuality,this study selects the 2018 China Daily News report on Boao Forum for Asia as the object of analysis.Based on the reproach speech in the significant intertextuality text,the quantitative method is used to analyze the language characteristics and the distribution and frequency of the text production and transmission by combining the quantitative method with the qualitative method.The qualitative method is used to discuss how the social background affects the ideology implied in the intertextuality text.According to Faircroft's three-dimensional framework model,the analysis process of this study is divided into three dimensions: text dimension,discourse practice dimension and social practice dimension.In the text dimension,the language features are described from the two aspects of modal auxiliary words and reflective verbs,and quantitative statistics are made on the use of modal auxiliaries and retelling verbs,and through the use of different emotional tendencies,the author makes a quantitative analysis of the use of modal auxiliaries and retelling verbs.To control the transmission of the meaning of the retelling speech,and to express their own views.In the dimension of discourse practice,this paper mainly examines the implied ideology and its couplets in news reports from three aspects: the source of news,the way of restatement,and the degree of clarity of the source of news.The influence of the use of words,the way in which news reporters influence the audience and spread ideology.In the dimension of social practice,it mainly analyzes the hidden ideology and power relationship of discourse in detail,including not only the analysis of discourse environment,but also the analysis of politics and culture of news events.Through the analysis,it is helpful to understand the relationship between intertextuality and social ideology and to make people realize the important role of intertextuality in the construction of English political and economic news reports.Through the analysis,it can be concluded that the combination of three-dimensional analytical model and intertextuality theory of Faircroft's critical discourse analysis is effective and feasible,which not only broadens the application range of critical discourse analysis,but also enriches the empirical study of intertextuality theory.Intertextualism plays an important role in the construction of discourse.Critical discourse analysis of intertextuality can help us to better understand the language use,power relationship and ideological relationship of the prologue.It is also helpful for readers to improve their ability of language recognition and cultivate their critical reading consciousness. |
