During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty,China maintained stable suzerain-vassal relations with Vietnam.During Kangxi's reign,envoys were sent to Vietnam five times,and some of them left behind works recording the situation.This paper briefly describes the relationship between suzerain and vassal state and the situation of envoys in China and Vietnam during Kangxi Period,and regards the poetry and prose of the envoys in Vietnam during Kangxi Period as the research object.According to the footprints of the envoys in the works of the envoys in Vietnam,the envoys' route during Kangxi Period in Qing Dynasty is restored,among them,from Beijing to Zhennanguan is the domestic route,and from Zhennanguan to Jiaozhou is the route in Vietnam.Through the interpretation of the poetry and prose of the envoy to Vietnam,this paper summarizes the main contents of the works of the envoy during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.In his poems in Vietnam,he mainly discussed Wu Guang's "Envoy Intersection" and Zhou Cann's "Envoy Interpretation".Wu Guang either stated his feelings at that time,or narrated the mountains and rivers he had experienced,or climbed to look at historical sites,or described exotic wonders,with a wide range of subjects and elegant style.Zhou Cando's poems eulogizing the emperor,offering sacrifices and communicating with Vietnamese literati.The prose works of the envoys to Vietnam include Li Xiangen's Annan Ambassador's Notes and Zhou Cann's Annan Ambassador's Notes.The former shows a tortuous diplomatic process and strong diplomatic rhetoric in his prose.The latter records the disputes on etiquette between China and Vietnam,the displaying of unusual weather,the detailed Miscellaneous Records and Annan's Genealogy.Through the interpretation of the text,and then analyze the literary writing of the works of the envoy to Vietnam.The works show the sentiments of envoys who sent to Vietnam in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty,such as sadness,caution or pleasure.The works portray the image of envoys full of personality,Wu Guang being honest and impartial,Li Xiangen being wise and brave,and Zhou Cang attachinggreat importance to emotion and righteousness.From these works,we can also appreciate the concept of barism of envoys.From the perspective of literary geography,this paper analyses the literary landscape in the works,and discusses the special writing of geographical images such as Fubo Temple,Zhennan Pass and Guimen Pass.The value of the poems and proses sent to Vietnam during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty is reflected in the following aspects: these works supplement to some extent the historical data of the Qing Dynasty,promote the development of Vietnamese Chinese literature in the exchange with Vietnamese courtiers,expand the influence area and strength of the Chinese cultural circle,expand the writing themes and expressive perspectives of ancient Chinese literature,and at the same time expand China.The influence of ancient literature on other countries.
