Giving behavior is a very common behavior in human society,which is belonging to the basic category.It plays a very important role in human language.The study of grammaticalization of giving verb and related constructions is an important and hot topic.This paper choose two typical modes ‘Give>Disposal' and ‘Give>Passive' as research objects.This paper aims to investigate the distribution of these two evolutionary patterns in the seven major Chinese dialect areas,and compare the different grammaticalization process of different dialects.The article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is an introduction,introducing the research status of the subject.The second chapter is about the distribution of the two modes in Northern Mandarin.The third chapter describes the distribution of the two modes in the Wu dialect,Jiangxi dialect,Hunan dialect,Hakka dialect,Guangdong dialect and Min dialect.Chapter Four contracts the different grammaticalization process of North and South dialects.Chapter five is conclusion.
