The Comparative Study Of Disposal Construction Of Chinese Dialects

As an important grammatical category of Chinese,the disposal construction has already aroused wide concern of many scholars.The previous studies mostly focused on Mandarin,but the fact is that the disposal construction of Chinese dialect and Mandarin exist many differences.The past research of structural limits of disposal construction,which proposed by Mr.Lv Shuxiang and other scholars,have so many counterexamples in Chinese dialects in addition to the object of disposal construction must be definite.Stusying the basic features of Chinese dialect and comparing the characteristics of Chinese dialect,ancient Chinese and Mandarin,is good for us to recognise more about the evolution process of disposal construction.In addition,it is helpful for us to understand some special phenomena in modern Chinese dialects as well.The main body of the text is a few chapters,and the main contents of the chapters are as follows:The first chapter elaborates the background and current state of this research.The history of Chinese dialect studies has a long history in our China.With the contemporary linguistics circles pay more attention to the study of Chinese dialects,the achievements of dialect increase sharply.The traditional assessment is difficult to make a comprehensive and effective judgment.In this paper,we use quantitative analysis software of literature to analysis the research status of Chinese dialectology scientificly.Finally,we select the comparative study of disposal construction of Chinese dialects as our study subject.We not only introduce the research status and the research results of Chinese history of disposal construction,but alos expound the research trend of Chinese dialect disposal construction.The second chapter,we mainly discuss grammatical meaning of the disposal construction.Firstly,we talk about the part of speech of "Ba",the arguments of "Ba" sentenceand the disposal construction,and the debates about how to comprehensively understand the meaning of disposal construction in current academic circles.Secondly,we divide the meaning of disposal construction into disposition,causation,suffering,treatment and nomination.And then we discuss the semantic limitation of these five types of disposal construction.Finally,we briefly introduce those typical studying achievements of pragmatic meaning of disposal construction.In the third chapter,we discuss the hierarchical types of disposal construction from three aspects:geographical distribution,semantic distribution and dialect distribution.We mainly discuss the composing ways and generative mechanism of compound disposal marks,as well as the phenomenon of multi disposal marks of Chinese dialects.The fourth chapter we divide the sentences which express the meaning of disposition but without disposal marks into three types:the type of patient object preposition,the type of verb predicate and the type of resumptive pronouns.We investigate the sentence structure and syntax characteristics of them in their dialects.And according to the collected information,we summarize the geographical distribution and the distribution regulations of these three kinds of sentences.The fifth chapter we focus on the structure characteristics of standard disposal construction.We firstly compare the characteristics of the disposal construction of Mandarin and Chinese dialect,and explore those special usages of the disposal construction in Chinese dialect.Secondly,we separately analysis the structure of the "general disposal construction","resumptive pronouns disposal construction","ancient times disposal construction" and their nested distribution in modern Chinese dialects.Thirdly,we adopt typological methods to analysis the object types and mixed semantic types of disposal construction of Chinese dialect.At last,we investigate the disposal strength of different disposal structure in pragmatic aspect.The sixth chapter we mainly discussed the evolution path of disposal construction and disposal marks of Chinese dialect.We first discuss the current arguments about the origins of disposal construction and we provive evidences that existed in Chinese dialects to illustrate "Yi" sentence belongs to the early form of disposal construction.Secondly,we explore the developed motivation of structural complexity of disposal construction from the types of object and predicate and the"S+Ba+O" sentence.And then,we talk about grammaticalization path of different disposal marks.Finally,we focus on the grammaticalization path of "Gei" in Danjiangkou dialect..The seventh chapter we summarize the main ideas of this study,and discuss some thoughts,confusions and inadequacies in the study process.
