As a kind of analytic language,Chinese has few morphological changes. Therefore, its tense system and aspect often need to be reflected by temporal words, dynamic auxiliary words, and function words.Zhe,le and guo51 as three important dynamic auxiliary words play an essential role in Chinese. In addition, the acquisition of dynamic auxiliary words is a necessary stage in children's early language development.Zhey le and guo51,as the markers of tense and aspect, play an important role in children's early language acquisition. In addition, the usage and its rules of dynamic auxiliary words zhe,le and guo51 are more complicated for Chinese-speaking children. Therefore,it is easy for children to misuse them in the process of acquisition. As an important theory in linguistics,Relevance Theory plays a guide role in children's language acquisition process. The misuse of Chinese-speaking children's acquisition of zhe,le and guo51 and its reasons are analyzed from the perspective of Relevance Theory. The longitudinal method and statistical method are mainly used in this thesis.Data are collected from four Chinese-speaking children MHR(aged from 01;06;19 to 03;06;08),ZHZ(aged from(01;06;12 to 03;06;06),YKY(aged from 01;04;17 to 03;04;21)and ZZC(aged from 01;00;10 to 03;05;07).In order to study the acquisition process of dynamic auxiliary words, the initial appearance, use frequency and semantic development of dynamic auxiliary words are analyzed. At last, the misuse of dynamic auxiliary words and its reason are studied from the perspective of Relevance Theory. The major findings are as follows:(1)children acquire dynamic auxiliary words zhe,le and guo51 before three and a half years old,but the initial appearance time is different and individual differences exist in the acquisition order.(2)dynamic auxiliary word le takes the largest proportion in all dynamic auxiliary words.(3)there are three sentence patterns in children's acquisition of zhe,le and guo51:? V+zhe/le/guo51,?NP+VP+zhe/le/guo51(3)VP+zhe/le/guo51+NP.(4)Children inevitably misuse the dynamic auxiliary words in the acquisition process, including the syntactic misuse of dynamic auxiliary words, the pragmatic misuse of dynamic auxiliary words, and the admixture misuse of le and guo51.Relevance Theory is used to analyze the main reasons of misuse in this study, and the main reasons of misuse include the mismatch of semantic relevance, children's degree of context relevance, language complexity and overgeneralization. In addition, adults' linguistic input, children's language reinforcement, and cognitive level are three main factors affecting the whole process of children's acquisition of dynamic auxiliary words. And the author hopes this study can provide a guiding reference for the children's acquisition process of dynamic auxiliary words.
