The structural auxiliary words, an important part of studies of Chinese Grammar, arefrequently used in Modern Chinese and attract more and more attentions as thedevelopment of teaching of Chinese as the second language. The Grammar Syllabus ofteaching of Chinese as the second language provides that, the structural auxiliary wordsgrammar should be taught when the foreign students are in the initial stage. And all texts ofthe primary level involve learning of the structural auxiliary words in different kinds ofteaching materials. This paper, based on the research results of structural auxiliary words inModern Chinese, the second language acquisition theory, error analysis theory and thecorpus the writer has collected, analyses the error types as well as its reasons in thelearning process of the second language learners, ending with some practical teachingsuggestions.This research consists four sections. The first part supplies the backgrounds andsenses of this paper as well as the current status of the structural auxiliary words, alsoproviding the corresponding research method. The second part mainly introduces the usageof the structural auxiliary words ‘de(的)”,“de(地)” and “de(得)”. The third part presentsthe acquisition and the error usage of the structural auxiliary words in language teaching.The fourth part discusses the reasons of the error usage of the structural auxiliary words inthe language acquisition process. The last part puts forwards solutions from the point of theview of the instructors and the learners.
