"Hero Shaping" In Chinese War Oil Paintings In The Second Half Of 20th Century

As one of the symbolic symbols of a nation,the heroic image has always been favored by various art forms,and Chinese oil painting is no exception.As early as the early 20 th century,some oil painters,adhering to the spirit of critical realism,created a large number of works closely associated with The Times,shaping a group of national salvation period hero image.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,oil paintings on war theme kept emerging in the specific context of the era.A large number of "hero images" not only showed different styles and aesthetic characteristics,but also reflected the characteristics of ideology and different understandings of "hero" in different periods.This article take the method of literature study,comparative study,analysis and so on,in the war in the 20 th century Chinese oil painting works and based on the analysis of the relevant literature,combined with the different periods of social and cultural context,to stand in the Angle of the otherness in the comprehensive analysis of the 20 th century China war theme oil painting hero image shaping stage of social and cultural formation and its characteristics,and tries to reveal the heroic image of this unique development law of art symbol in the 20 th century,for contemporary artistic creation and theoretical research to provide some reference.This paper is divided into five chapters,which are as follows:The introduction part summarizes the origin,research status and research methods of "hero shaping" in Chinese war oil painting.The first chapter mainly introduces the development of the creation of war in Chinese oil painting before the middle of the 20 th century.The second chapter,the third chapter and the fourth chapter,as the main research contents of the whole paper,respectively introduce the cultural context,mode and characteristics of "hero shaping" in Chinese war oil paintings in the seventeen years after the founding of the People's Republic of China,the "cultural revolution" period,and the early 1980 s and 1990 s of "reform and opening up".The second chapter is to "after the founding of the People's Republic of China 17 years",that is,the founding of the People's Republic of China,new China war theme oil painting "heroshaping" analysis.The image of "people's hero" is deeply rooted in the hearts of people under the social conditions and cultural policies in the early years of the People's Republic of China.The third chapter mainly discusses the symbolic characteristics of heroes in the period of "cultural revolution".The political context and literature and art policies during the cultural revolution produced a number of unitary "model" heroes,that is,"red and bright" and "tall and complete" characters,which separated them from art and became "revolutionary symbols" advocating class struggle,and had a series of influences on the whole literature and art creation.The fourth chapter discusses the hero image building of "real and plain" after the "cultural revolution",and analyzes the character image,shaping technique and artistic characteristics in the works around the "plain" feature.Chapter five summarizes the development law of "hero shaping" in Chinese war oil paintings in the second half of the 20 th century.
