In recent years, with the economic globalization, the economic cooperation among countries has attracted much attention. The Asia-Pacific region is an important support for China's foreign economy and trade. Most of China's total foreign trade and investment come from the APEC members.China 's development not only has benefited from the regional economy, but also has injected unique vitality and momentum into APEC.Based on this point of view, this article has been chosen as the source text, whose title is "Cooperation between countries to ensure global economic growth: a role for the G20? The report, based on translation practice, has two practical meanings as follows: On the one hand, the translation can be used as a promotional material for China to understand the development of the world economy,so that China can keep up with the pace of world economic development. On the other hand, the translation provides reference texts for translators studying economic texts in China so as to understand the status and significance of Asia-Pacific economy in the world development. The source text mainly expounds the impact of G20 on global economic development.Compared with any other texts,it has the following characteristics:professional and objective text content, rigorous and concise use of words, accurate language,as well as countless complex economic terms and sentences.Under the direction of parallel texts and functional equivalence theory proposed by American translator Eugene Nida, the author conducts translation practice in an orderly manner. This translation report based on it focuses on two main topics. The first is the translation problems encountered by the author during the translation process and related solutions. The second part is the cases study that illustrates how the translation techniques are applied under Nida's functional equivalence theory. In the whole case study,it's divided into three parts to discuss the translation of words and phrases, sentences and figures of speech.Translation methods used by the author in the translation practice include amplification, omission, word order adjustment, following the original syntactic order,part-of-speech conversion and so on.
