The coincidental modal adverbs belong to a relatively special lower-level subcategory of adverbs,which is one of the difficulties in teaching foreign Chinese about function words.Through investigation,it is found that the research on the coincidental modal adverbs is very scare.Therefore,this paper selects the seven coincidental modal adverbs as its subjects,which are more frequent in modern Chinese and teaching Chinese as a foreign language,carry out a more detailed exploration of the ontological theory in the aspects of syntax,semantics,pragmatics,etc.At the same time,it studies these modal adverbs from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,with a view to further exploring and researching on existing foundations,and looking for Practical experience that can be effectively conbined with teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and better serving Chinese as a foreign language teaching.This paper has six parts:The first part is the introduction: it illustrates the reasons and meanings of the topic,summarizes the predecessors' research on the modal adverbs,modal adverbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and the coincidental modal adverbs,determines the research scope and thinking of these modal adverbs.Finally,it explains the research method,theoretical basis and corpus source used in this paper.The second part is the the syntactic study of the coincidental modal adverbs: Firstly,it investigates the position distribution of them,which can be located at the beginning,middle and end of the sentence,and some of them can be used alone.Then,it analyzes the collocation of them with predicate components,including quantitative phrases,adjectives and adJective phrases,verb meaning sub-categories.Finally,it analyzes their conjunctive use and use with other types of adverbs.The third part is semantic study of the coincidental modal adverbs: it inspects the dictionary definition of the them,and summarizes their common semantic features on this basis.At the same time,a semantic analysis of these modal adverbs is carried.The fourth part is the pragmatic study of the coincidental modal adverbs: it studies the style selection and the distribution of sentence type from a pragmatic perspective,and theirpragmatic and discourse cohesive functions.The fifth part is the study of the coincidental modal adverbs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language: it examines the appearance of them in the main syllabuses of Chinese as a foreign language and textbooks.Then,based on HSK dynamic composition corpus and the written corpus of foreign students from Jinan University statistics of their errors were summarized,the types of errors are summarized,and the reasons for the erroes were summarized;finally based on the ontology research,teaching and textbooks of this kind of these modal adverbs,it proposes several corresponding combined with his own teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and case teaching design.The sixth part is the teaching countermeasures of the coincidental modal adverbs: based on the ontology research,teaching and textbooks of this kind of these modal adverbs,it proposes several corresponding combined with his own teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and case teaching design.The seventh part is the conclusion: it sorts out and summarizes the conclusions of the research on the coincidental modal adverbs,points out the problems and deficiencies of this article.
