The research object of this paper is modern Chinese unexpected modal adverbs "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian".Unexpected modal adverbs are controversial,problematic and difficult to master in modern Chinese.In modern Chinese adverb type,it is a special category.They are different from other similar adverbs in syntax,semantics and pragmatics.In the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,because of its high frequency and difficult to master,it has become a big problem for foreign students to learn Chinese.Foreign students often use "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian" to express unexpected mood in learning Chinese and daily communication.However,due to the particularity of these four words,it is easy for foreign students to use them inappropriately.Therefore,this paper selects the four unexpected modal adverbs as the research object,and makes a contrastive analysis of their usage.Based on the theory of ontology,this paper explores the types and causes of errors in the acquisition of "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian" by foreign students in combination with the results of HSK corpus and my investigation on the acquisition of middle and advanced foreign students in Hebei University and their lectures.Finally,combined with the usage and errors of words,teaching suggestions are put forward.This paper is divided into five partsThe first part is the introduction,which introduces the reason and research purpose of this paper.The research status includes the ontology research of unexpected modal adverbs and the research of TCFL.Finally,the research methods and corpus sources of unexpected modal adverbs are summarized.The second part is to investigate the basic situation of foreign students’ acquisition of "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian".The author obtains the corpus by issuing questionnaires and sorting out the HSK dynamic composition corpus.Finally,through the test investigation,data analysis of acquisition.The third part is the specific usage of "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian".Based on the ontology knowledge,this paper makes a comprehensive discussion and comparative analysis of their usage conditions,positions in sentences,modifiers and extended meanings from the perspectives of word meaning discrimination,grammatical structure and usage analysis,and sums up their semantic patterns and similarities and differences.The fourth part is under the guidance of second language acquisition and interlanguage theory,combined with test investigation and corpus analysis,to systematically investigate the types and causes of errors in the process of foreign students’ acquisition of "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian".The fifth part is case design.On the basis of error analysis,this paper designs TCFL for "Jingran" "Juran" "Pian" "Pianpian".So that foreign students have a more specific and systematic understanding of unexpected modal adverbs,reduce mistakes in use,and accumulate theoretical materials for TCFL.
