A Report On Interpreting At The Lecture Of The 2018 Training Seminar For Highway Managerial Staff From The Republic Of South Sudan

Nowadays,with the deepening economic globalization and world multi-polarization,China has become increasingly interconnected with other countries and has become a responsible major power on the world stage.Numerous cooperation projects embrace the Chinese development philosophy that China places equal importance to its own development and the common prosperity of the world.As China carries out increasing communication with other countries,how to upgrade the Chinese discourse system into a more efficient mechanism is of great significance.In the translation and interpreting field,how to follow the trend of the times and better convey the Chinese voice and attitude is also the focus of the current researches.In October,2018,the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China cooperated with Shandong Hi-speed Group and hosted the Training Seminar for Highway Managerial Staff from the Republic of South Sudan in Jinan.The author worked as the interpreter in the process,where the "Three-dimensional"Transformation Theory was adopted to deal with the source language.Since it was raised in 2001,Eco-translatology has offered a new perspective for interpreters to produce the most adaptive target language.Guided by the "Three-dimensional”Transformation Theory under the framework of Eco-translatology,this report aims to explore the feasibility of the "Three-dimensional" Transformation in the interpreting process.The report analyzes the interpreting task from the linguistic,cultural and communicative dimension,finding that the "Three-dimensional"Transformation can be applied in the interpreting task.By analyzing the specific cases in the task,the report explains how the "Three-dimensional”Transformation was applied in the adapti-ve selections.As a practical coping tactic advocated by Eco-translatology,the "Three-dimensional" Transformation Theory could help the interpreter to produce the target language with the highest integration and adaption,thus meeting the audience's requirements in multiple perspectives.This report proves the feasibility of the"Three-dimensional"Transformation in the interpreting task and will assist the other interpreters in their interpreting practice.
