The central idea and the highest goal of Chinese as a second language teaching is to enable Chinese learners to master accurate and authentic Chinese in the shortest time.People whose mother tongue is Chinese can often communicate with each other without thinking, fluently and accurately in communication. One of the important reasons is that there are a lot of prefabricated "blocks" in Chinese.A chunk is a linguistic segment that is fixed in a language and used for communicative expression. These chunks do not need to be created by native speakers,so for Chinese learners, mastering a large number of Chinese chunks can improve the accuracy and fluency of Chinese learners'expressions. The main contents of this article includeFirst of all, this article combines the research results of previous generations to organize and summarize the definition and classification of chunks by scholars at home and abroad.Based on the advantages of chunks and the characteristics of Chinese, the necessity and possibility of chunk teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is analyzed.Secondly, the author takes the Confucius Classroom of National 23 Middle School under the Confucius Institute at Mongolian National University as an example, and investigates the acceptance of chunk teaching for fifth-grade Chinese learners. The survey found that students' acceptance of chunk teaching is relatively high.On this basis, the teaching design of elementary Chinese integrated lesson blocks was carried out,and the results of teaching design were sorted out and analyzed. Finally, this article interviewed the Chinese language teachers in Mongolia, and proposed five teaching suggestions based on the conclusions of the interviews.I hope it will be helpful to Mongolian Chinese teaching.
