As a common management mode,the negative impact of abusive supervision on individuals and organizations has been comfirmed by a large number of empirical research results.The vicarious abusive supervision is more common in organizations,but there is little research on its influence mechanism and boundary conditions.Based on the perspective of a third party,this study analyzed the mechanism and boundary conditions of the vicarious abusive supervision.The results of this study have important guiding significance for the improvement of organizational atmosphere and management behavior.A sample of 357 subjects(male 162,female 195)of business full-time employees from Henan,Beijing,Zhejiang province and other places were investigated by questionaire online survey.This study used vicarious abusive supervision scale,job mobility scale,PANAS-XS scale,subordinates' resistance scale as measuring tools,exploring the relationship among vicarious abusive supervision,job mobility,anger prediction,and subordinates' resistance,using SPSS24.0 and Amos23.0,and doing Correlation analysis,Hierarchical regression analysis,Bias-Corrected Bootstrap and other statics method.Our findings were showed as follows:(1)There was a significant positive correlation between vicarious abusive supervision and subordinates' resistance(r = 0.522,p < 0.01).(2)Job mobility moderated the relationship between vicarious abusive supervision and anger prediction,in the lower level of job mobility,it has a positive correlation between vicarious abusive supervision and anger prediction(B = 0.209,t = 9.145,p < 0.01).That is,for the low level of job mobility,the higher of the vicarious abusive supervision,the higher of the anger prediction.In the higher level of job mobility,it showed a positive correlation between vicarious abusive supervision and anger prediction(B = 0.115,t = 6.227,p < 0.01),but it was weaker than the lower level.(3)Anger prediction partially mediated the relationship between vicarious abusive supervision and subordinates' resistance,the value of mediating effect was 20.39%.The main effect of vicarious abusive management on anger emotion prediction was significant,the main effect of anger emotion prediction on subordinate resistance was significant,and there was a significant positive relationship between vicarious abusive supervision and subordinates' resistance.(4)Vicarious abusive supervision,job mobility,anger prediction and subordinates' resistance constituted the mediated moderation model between the four variables,job mobility moderated the first path of the mediation.In conclusion,the influence and boundary effect of vicarious abusive supervision on subordinates' resistance was supported by empirical research results in this study.
