A Comparative Study Of Narrator In Documentary

From the perspective of narratology,this paper will make a comparative study of the first and third narrative person adopted in documentaries.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the narrative person and narrative perspective in the documentary,and analyzes the internal relationship between the narrative person and the narrative perspective.The research background and research status of this subject are summarized.The significance of this research is expounded.The second chapter mainly discusses the subjective and objective,the appeal of the audience and the breakthrough in time and space to analyze the reasons for the selection of the first-person and third-person narrative in the documentary.The first person narration is more favorable for the narrator to penetrate the content of image and emotion and the subjective emotion itself,which is limited by time and space.Third person narration puts the narrator in the position of the observer and makes it "transcendent".Meanwhile,the third person is more breakthrough and flexible in time and space,but from the perspective of the audience,the dominant position of the third person is weakened.The third chapter studies the difference of narrative function between the first person and the third person.It is divided into three aspects: character image,story plot andspiritual core.The fourth chapter mainly studies the different presentation of the first person and the third person in the narrative effect.The narrative effect is divided into two aspects: emotional atmosphere and aesthetic image.Narrative function and narrative effects play an important role in a documentary,it directly decides the whole documentary narrative style,by combining a number of documentary produced by the use of different narrative person,for example,the effect of different narrative function and narrative further demonstrates the first person and third person narration in the documentary presents the differences and different.The fifth chapter is the research of the documentary personal conversion narrative.In addition to analyzing the reasons of personal conversion narration in the documentary,this paper also discusses the application of personal conversion narration effect in combination with my graduation work documentary "walking towards fire".In documentaries,the transformation of narrative person is an important skill.Although some works still adopt a single narrative perspective,more and more people have realized that consciously transforming,adjusting and even cross-using different narrative perspectives can better achieve the narrative effect.Secondly,this paper analyzes the narrative effect of personal conversion narration in graduation works from three aspects: characterization,narrative structure and emotional expression.In the last part of the conclusion,itsummarizes the comparison and enlightenment of the use of first-person and third-person narration in the documentary.
