Spoken English is a very important part of English learning.It embodies students' ability to express and comprehensively use language.The author teaches at Shuangchahe Middle School in Suiling County.The school is a rural school.It pays less attention to oral English teaching and has always adopted a more traditional teaching method,but the effect is minimal.In order to improve the efficiency of oral English teaching in junior middle school and change the current situation of oral English teaching in Shuangchahe Middle School,the author tries to apply the task-based teaching method to the oral English teaching of the Class two Grade two of Shuangchahe Middle School,and tries to verify(1)task-based teaching method.What is the specific implementation process applied to junior middle school oral English teaching?(2)Can the task-based approach be applied to junior high school oral English teaching to improve students' oral learning interest?(3)Can the task-based teaching method improve the oral English level of junior high school oral English teaching? Is the effect significant?This experiment lasted four and a half months.The study subjects were students from the Class two Grade two of Shuangchahe Middle School.In the experiment,the author mainly used the test method,questionnaire survey method and classroom observation method to conduct research.Three oral tests were conducted before,during and after the experiment to verify whether the task-based teaching method can improve the oral English level of junior high school students.The classroom observation method runs through the whole experimental process,and observes the two aspects of learning enthusiasm and oral ability improvement according to the scale.From an objective perspective,verify whether the task-based approach can stimulate students' interest in oral learning.After the experiment,students were surveyed to understand students' attitudes towards oral learning and task-based teaching methods.Finally,using SPSS22.0 for data analysis to draw conclusions.Studies have shown that after four and a half months of teaching experiments,the expected results have been achieved.Students' attitude towards oral learning has gradually changed from boredom and fear to positive.Most students become happy and dare to speak English.Both oral expression skills and oral test scores have been greatly improved.This indicates that the task-based teaching method can stimulate the interest of junior high school students in oral English learning,improve the English oral learning initiative and oral English level,and the effect is obvious.
