In the consecutive interpreting, the information completeness is an essential indicator when discussing the quality evaluation, which can be influenced by various factors, either explicit knowledge or non explicit knowledge factors. In many circumstances, the interpreter may still omit information without any disadvantage of explicit knowledge, that is,when the expression is not unknown for the interpreter,Therefore, this article examines the non explicit knowledge reasons behind the information loss by studying a simulation conference of Spanish-Chinese consecutive interpreting. With detailed examples, the author attributes the absence of information to the following three factors: debilitating exogenous elements, inadequate interpreting skills and psychological factors. To address the problem, this article suggests various methods including pre-task adaptation and communication with the speaker, improving the note-taking strategy and keeping a calm mind in interpreting.
