Barries In Listening Comprehension In Korean To Chinese Consecutive Interpretation And Their Solutions

In the model of comprehension put forward by Daniel Gile,a famous expert on interpretation,the multi-tasking process of consecutive interpreting is divided into two phases.The first and most important step is listening comprehension.In order to improve listening comprehension in Korean-Chinese consecutive interpretation and ensure the quality of interpretation,it is essential to solve the problems in the listening comprehension.The paper will analyze the possible listening comprehension problems based on the analysis of Korean-Chinese consecutive interpretation case,Active North Korean Educated Youth in China in 1920s-1930 s.The paper starts with the definition and importance of listening comprehension in an interpretation.By analyzing the case,reasons of listening comprehension problems can be divided into following aspects:language,imbalance in energy,the lack of background knowledge and psychological burden.At last,the writer proposes corresponding solutions.By case study,the writer hopes to be helpful for Korean-Chinese interpreter in improving the ability of listening comprehension and the quality of source language,and also for future interpreting teaching.
