This thesis was to study Hu Hong's mind nature in the context of Confucianism and Buddhism.Hu Hong was a well-known Confucian in the Song Dynasty.but his thoughts had not been taken seriously for a long time. The representative of Neo-Confucianism Mr.Mou Zongsan praised Hu Hong's thought in his "Mind and nature".Hu Hong's thought had gradually attracted the attention of academia in recent years.Based on the background of Hu Hong, the thesis explores the deeper connotation and essence of Hu Hong's philosophy, and further demonstrates the academic value and historical contribution of Hu Hong's ideas.Based on this,The thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter introduces the background of Hu Hong and the source of Hu Hong's mind nature. From the standpoint of Confucian orthodoxy,Hu Hong denied the empty view of Buddhism and criticized it in many ways.Hu Hong established his own philosophy of mind in the process of criticizing Buddhism and reshaping Confucianism.Hu Hong cares about the world as his own responsibility, and strongly advocated Confucianism in order to bring Confucians back to reality and let them pay attention to reality and find out their feasible solutions. The second chapter discusses the connotation of "nature" as the origin and the relationship between "mind" and "nature".Firstly,Hu Hong's mind nature was the origin of metaphysics;Second, mind and nature were not simple opposites, they can be transformed into each other, and the unpublished has been the complete presentation of mind and nature; Finally,Hu Hong's mind nature focuses on reality, emphasizing the manifestation function of the mind to nature, that is,“the full trying one's best keeping good mind is to understand human nature”.The third chapter discusses the establishment way of Hu Hong Kungfu theory in detail.Hu Hong believed that the saints do Kungfu must "know the body of benevolence",and "benevolence" was a metaphysical body that contains Confucianmoral content and was displayed in the daily use of human relations, that is,"human nature".After recognizing the benevolence,it was necessary to keep the benevolence from time to time to show it.Through "cultivation","integrity" and other efforts to "understand human nature",this must also be carried out in Confucian moral life practice. The structure of Hu Hong's Kungfu theory was fundamentally different from the Buddha's departure from human relations and moral life to enlightenment emptliness or illusion realm. The fourth chapter explains the contribution made by Hu Hong's mind nature to this era.Hu Hong was the main founder of the Huxiang School, and had played an important role in the formation, inheritance and development of the Huxiang School. The School of Xin Xue,represented by Lu Jiuyuan, and the School of Neo-Confucianism,represented by Zhu Xi,were both influenced by Hu Hong's thought of mind nature.
