The public' s understanding and knowledge of th e cultural relics conservation profession comes from the dissemination of media,of which film and television documentaries are the main source of information.This article reviews the professional development of cultural relics protection work since the founding of the People's Republic of China,It also sorts out and analyzes the image of cultural relics conservation workers presented and shown in domestic film and television documentaries and science and education programs since the founding of the People's Republic of China,The characteristics and presentation of the imager are summarized and explained.Among them,in the second decade of the 21st century,"Masters in Forbidden City" was the representative.The documentary shifted from showing the group of cultural protection workers to highlighting the personal value,from a single recording of the work content to multi-faceted and three-dimensional presentation of cultural relic protection workers Professional status change.The cultural relics conservation professionals undertake the task of telling the audience professional knowledge.Presenting individual career growth experiences in documentaries has gradually become common,but the display of the restoration process of cultural relies is still the core content and main scene of the presentation.Suggestions were made on how to use the film and television media to shape the public professional image of cultural relic conservation professionals.
