Influence Of Chinese Culture In Vietnam,Through An Investigation On Reception In The Drama “Story Of Yanxi Palace”

Vietnam and China are close neighbors with similar national conditions,cultural traditions and customs.In 1991,the relations between the two parties and the two countries were normalized,and the relations between the two sides improved in various aspects and got further development.With the gradual strengthening of cultural exchanges between the two countries and the rapid development of the“Internet”,Chinese films and television plays are spreading more and more widely in Vietnam.In 2018,the popularity of Chinese TV dramas “The Story of Yanxi Palace” is not only in China but also in Southeast Asia,especially in Vietnam.This paper takes quantitative analysis as the basis of the research method of this study.Through questionnaire survey,this paper discusses the influence of Chinese culture in Vietnam through the TV dramas “The Story of Yanxi Palace”.There are three questions: the Vietnamese audience's cognition of Chinese culture;the Vietnamese audience's attitude towards Chinese culture,and the behavior that would happen from then on?The conclusions of this study are as follows: Firstly,in terms of the Vietnamese audience's recognition of Chinese culture through the TV dramas “The Story of Yanxi Palace”,the audience's recognition of Chinese culture seems to go up a level,and gradually understand the spiritual culture of China's Kunqu Opera,Chinese festivals,“Da Shuhua” as well as Chinese tea,face saving habit and other behavioral culture.Secondly,the attitude of Vietnamese audiences towards Chinese culture shows that these cultural details are deeply loved.Thirdly,high ratings have positively affected the behavior of Vietnamese audiences,leading the behavior after watching the play to tend to discuss the plot and content of the dramas with others,travel to China and watch other Chinese films.In addition,it is also possible to have a deep understanding of Chinese culture,history,society and other knowledge,as well as to start studying Chinese or improve the level of Chinese.Through a questionnaire survey,this study also learned that some audiences have raised expectations for the development of Vietnamese film and television,such as promoting traditional Vietnamese clothing and cuisine,telling Vietnamese history,and enhancing the connotation of Vietnamese culture,which help to elevate world cultural exchanges and the integration and mutual learning of multiple civilizations.
