Grammar is the study of the classes of words,their inflections and their functions and relations in the sentence.besides,it is the base of communication and determines its accuracy.For English learners in China,the study of grammar knowledge is more important and difficult than other points,and majority of students regard the grammar teaching part in English class as extremely boring and tedious,thus,they are not interested in grammar learning,and their grammar learning achievements is always not good enough,moreover,most of them lack of the competence of grammar application.Therefore,how to adopt an effective method in grammar teaching and then to improve students' grammar learning achievements and their ability of grammar application have became a noticeable study field.Under the modern condition,Internet is being widely applied in various fields,including education field.Thus,there exist lots of researches about the integration between information technology and English teaching,but few for senior high school grammar teaching.Based on these conditions,the research of Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method in English grammar teaching is of great significance.By using this method,teachers can create a harmonious learning atmosphere which helps students master the grammar points better,and then achieve the teaching goals.In this research,the author attempts to figure out the answers for the following questions after applying the Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method to the English grammar teaching class.(1)What effect will Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method has on students' grammar learning interests?(2)What influence will Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method has on students' grammar learning achievements?(3)How does Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method improve students' ability of grammar application?To carry out this study,the author selects the first grade of senior high school students(class 1 and class 2)from Lin Ying No.2 Senior High School as the research subjects randomly.Class 1 is regarded as the experimental class while Class 2 as the controlled class.During this experiment,in order to achieve the effectiveness and feasibility of this method,some research instruments are applied in the procedure,such as questionnaires,tests and interviews.Finally,the author gets the following conclusions after conducting four months experimental research.Firstly,students have a great interests in the grammar learning and they can have a better performance in class after applying this method.Secondly,Multimedia-assisted Situational Teaching Method has a positive influence on improving students grammar learning achievements.Finally,since more activities which are connected with practical life are designed in the class,this method can also improve students' ability of grammar application.
