As one of the three elements of teaching,textbook play a crucial role in the teaching process.Vocabulary,as one of the four elements of Chinese,to a certain extent determines the success or failure of learners in learning Chinese,and the frequency of new words has a certain impact on whether learners can acquire new words.This paper takes the comprehensive textbook of second language teaching "the road to success"(written in China,intermediate Chinese)and "everyone's Japanese"(written in Japan,intermediate Japanese)as the objects,analyzes the recurrence of new words in the two textbooks and make a relevant research.This paper is composed of six parts.The first is the introduction,which briefly introduces the significance of this research,the current status of relevant research,the theories and methods adopted by the research;The second part introduces the two textbooks.In the third part,the recurrence of new words in the two textbooks is compared and analyzed,mainly from the two aspects of recurrence rate and recurrence interval.The fourth part is the statistics and analysis of the recurrence rate of new words under special circumstances in the two textbooks.The main part is the statistics and analysis of the new words with a recurrence rate of 0 and the top 30 new words with the highest recurrence rate.The fifth part,based on the above comparative analysis,some suggestions are put forward for Chinese vocabulary teaching and textbook compilation.Finally is the conclusion,carries on the summary to this paper.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the recurrence rate of new words in Chinese textbooks and Japanese textbooks,breaks through the language limitation of the comparison of textbooks,and hopes to find out the unique advantages of other language textbooks in the compilation of new words,so as to provide new ideas and methods for the compilation and teaching of new words in Chinese textbooks.
