Research On Guan Zi's Charity Thought

According to the historical records,charity has been existing in harmony with human beings and accompanied by social progress.With the development of the society,people's awareness of charity is also gradually awakening.This kind of charity thought of good deeds has also become one of the most vivid contents in the excellent traditional Chinese culture.Guan zi's philanthropic thought,which was born in the pre-Qin period,is an indispensable part of China's philanthropic thought.To study it and try to explore its ideological and cultural value can help us gain an further understanding of the development process,improve the sense of identity and belonging of Chinese excellent traditional culture.Based on its formation background and process of Guan zi's philanthropic thought,this paper studies Guan zi's philanthropic behavior and the process of Guan zi's formation,which embodies the particularity of Guan zi's philanthropic thought.Based on Guan zi's national charity thought of "advocating benevolence and cultivating virtue",the "nine benefits" of social assistance,the concept of social support and the charity policy of "following the custom and governing",this paper analyzes the connotation of Guan zi's charity thought firstly,finds out the shortcomings of Guan zi's charity thought,and sums up the contribution of Guan zi's charity thought to ancient Chinese charity idea The value of life and its limitations have an impact on the trend of Chinese charity,so as to extract the contemporary value and contemporary reference of Guan zi's charity thought.Through thoroughly studying of Guan zi's charity thought,we can not only find the flash point of Chinese traditional culture,but also make the past serve the present.Combining charity thought with today's social practice can promote the development of China's charity,the development of socialist core values,and also play an important role in promoting the development of Ideological and political education.
